The National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) was established in 1999 to coordinate space technology development and applications in Nigeria. The NASRDA Act 2010 provided for the following activities centers:
Centre for Space Science and Technology Education, Ile-Ife; Centre for Remote Sensing, Jos; Centre for Satellite Technology Development, Abuja; Centre for Geodesy and Geodynamics, Toro; Centre for Space Transport and Propulsion,
